The Effect of PVP on Thermal, Mechanical, and Dielectric Properties in PVDF-HFP/PVP Thin Film

In this research, the influences of addition PVP to PVDF-HFP polymers and preparation thin films using a solvent casting method were studied. The polymer blend PVDF-HFP/PVP with nanostructured surface investigated scanning electron microscopy, differential calorimetry, nanoindentation, dielectric spectroscopy. results showed that formed dispersed phase (the poorer conductive islands) in matrix, which reduced its mechanical properties. crystallinity decreased by 7.4%, but induced formation polar β-phase PVDF-HFP. Therefore, an improved response is expected, it was not significantly even though detected. contrasting effect attributed less islands on blend, conductivity.
